As I prepare to celebrate my 51st birthday this month, I’m using the long weekend to ponder half a century of opportunities that have steered me along this path. Each year, with its unique lessons and challenges, has shaped who I am today—and for that, I’m profoundly grateful!

Recently, I flew back to Brazil to celebrate my mom’s birthday. Many of you know I phone her daily—sometimes for 10 minutes, sometimes for an hour. She’s a wealth of wisdom, always wrapped in her humble demeanor. This trip was a vivid explosion of colors, flavors, and family love. It made me reflect on my own upcoming celebration, underscoring the importance of connection and joy, which I try to sprinkle into my everyday life.

Labor Day weekend serves as a subtle reminder that the seasons are changing, much like how each birthday nudges us towards more wisdom (and fewer agile dance moves). As summer’s heat retreats to make way for the stunning autumn hues in Boston, I must confess a soft spot for the endless summer of Tampa Bay. This love for both crisp New England falls and Florida’s perpetual sunshine inspires our eclectic range of window treatments.

Preparing for the Holiday Season

Speaking of changes, one constant in my 18 years in business is the post-Labor Day surge in demand for window coverings.

As we gear up for Thanksgiving and the holiday season, many of you will be sprucing up your spaces in New England to impress your guests. We’re ready to help you transform your windows into dazzling focal points.

In Florida, we’re gearing up for the annual wave of northern friends escaping the cold. With restaurants buzzing and traffic picking up, we’re here to dress those naked windows or replace outdated coverings for both year-round residents and seasonal visitors.

Your trust and support over the years have been the greatest gifts I could ask for. As I blow out my birthday candles this month, my wish is to keep serving you with innovation, style, and a dash of Brazilian flair for many years to come.

Here’s to a September filled with beautiful transitions, warm gatherings, and windows that capture the essence of every season!

Warmest regards,

Roger
