Last year was a wild ride (you can read more here). But thanks to my incredible team, Shades In Place didn’t miss a beat.
While the only Wi-Fi available to me was at my local Starbucks, my team kept everything running smoothly and made sure our clients were taken care of.
Of course, it wasn’t all chaos. We had some amazing moments worth celebrating too!
2024 Highlights
Our First International Project: Turks and Caicos, anyone? We installed motorized shades and breezy drapes in paradise. A dream job? Absolutely. A sweaty one? Without a doubt!
Boston Strong(er): Our Boston location had a banner year, with projects across New England. From Massachusetts to Rhode Island and New Hampshire to Maine, we were on a roll (pun intended, again).
Building Roots in Tampa: Despite the storms, we made big strides in Florida. From the East to the West coast, we drove thousands of miles covering roads and windows (three strikes now). And we’re just getting started!
What’s Coming in 2025
New blog: We’re thrilled to announce the debut of our monthly blog, We Dress Naked Windows! We’ll be sharing expert tips, top-notch product recommendations, and practical solutions for all your window covering challenges.
Whether you’re a homeowner, decorator, or just someone who’s tired of staring at bare windows, this blog is for you.
Outdoor Solutions, Here We Come: We’re stepping outside—literally. Screen shades and retractable awnings are on the menu for 2025. So, if you’re dreaming of a stylish patio or porch that’s actually comfortable, we’ve got you covered.
Tampa, We’re All In: This year, we’re doubling down on Tampa. The goal? Grow our client base while keeping that 5-star service we’re known for in Boston.
A Big Thank You!
To everyone who’s been part of our journey, thank you. Whether you’ve been with us for years or just joined the Shades In Place family, your trust and support mean the world to us. And for those kind words and patience during my hurricane adventures—thank you a million times over.
Here’s to a fabulous 2025—filled with growth, sunshine, and perfectly installed shades. And if you’re thinking about upgrading your outdoor space, you know where to find me.
P.S. Let’s chat about your patio or porch before the Florida heat really kicks in.
