I hope that you are well and as excited with the reopening of the economy as I am. To be honest, I never fully stopped working and I kept moving all this time. If you are ready to replace those 1990 ugly blinds that you forgot you had, before the pandemic kept you at home to notice, I am here and ready to help!

Also, to make this newsletter more fun, let’s just pretend that you’ve missed reading my post last week (I know you didn’t). That leads me to break the results of my question about the frequency of my blog. To be honest, I was quite surprised to receive so many great messages of support about my writing and my business. I sincerely appreciate your companionship along the way.

Because at Shades In Place we deal with high tech automated shades, I’ve decided to use some of the same high tech technology (it’s called pen & paper) to tally the results as you see below:

The opinions between weekly, bi-weekly and monthly were very similar and bi-weekly seemed to be a good compromise. So, moving forward, you only need to put up with me every other Sunday, unless you call me for a consultation. And I will end this piece with one of the feedback comments from a long time client. I swear it wasn’t my mom who wrote this! Thanks again for your support!

Good morning Roger,
First, I want you to know how much I have always enjoyed reading your newsletters. I love the lens that you look through. You are funny, sensitive and caring. Sharing your story about your mom touched my heart so much.
You are truly an exceptional human and I feel blessed to have gotten to know you through my window shutters over the years. I don’t have a lot of friends, but every time I see someone’s house that could benefit from your work, I have you in mind, and share my experience.
Your work ethic, commitment to quality, service orientated focus, are all noteworthy. Not to mention your products. You installed shutters in my house in Lexington about 12 years ago, they still look brand new. They are perfect for the space. You installed shutters in my condo (Brewster) about 2-3 years ago (I track time terribly) and again, they are perfect. I struggled with the design there a bit, but you talked me into doing the right thing. I’m so glad you did.
It’s people like you who make the world a better place. Keep it up! We need you now more than ever.
With warmest regards,”
J.F. – Lexington, Mass
