Trading Up Consulting

Hello friend!

I hope all is well with you despite the most unpredictable year in the history of our generation.

Let me give you a couple of examples:
When the pandemic hit, I sincerely thought that I would have zero business for the next few months. But instead, I am having the absolute best year in the history of Shades In Place since everyone is trapped at home and looking at their windows and wondering…

Another example comes from a totally unplanned (until last year) idea of creating a consulting firm.

Let me explain:
I have been writing articles and presenting seminars (industry related) to my peers for a few years now. Last March when most of us were sitting in front of our computers trying to figure out how to run a virtual business, I was invited to participate in several (business topic) webinars and received great feedback.

Last month while driving on the Pike heading to a client in the Brookshire, I had a thought: “I could create a business to spread education and good business practices to my industry” and like most hot tempered Brazilian males in their mid 40’s, it did not take long to move from “planning” to execution.

Obviously I am overly simplifying the process and everything that I am planning to do and offer, but for now, this is what I have shared on my newly created social media channels:

Welcome to Trading Up Consulting!

“After building and running a successful window treatment boutique studio in the Boston area for the last 15 years, I’ve decided to share my knowledge and skills with colleagues and newcomers to the window treatment business.

I want to leverage my experience and connections in the industry to create awareness that window treatment installation can be a very rewarding and lucrative profession for those who are willing to take the time to learn the business the proper way.

The industry is desperate and hungry for skilled professional installers. A common misconception is that there is no real skill required to install window treatments and therefore anyone can put on a tool belt and call themselves ‘a profession installer’. It is so much more than simply ‘putting a couple of screws’ in the wall. Installing requires finesse, mathematical skills, excellent communication, customer service abilities to handle pressure and much more.

I want to teach you what I know so that you can enter the field with confidence. I have accumulated over 500 five star ????? reviews from very satisfied clients and now I want to share my success and knowledge with others as a way to pay back to the industry that has provided me with so much friendship, growth and personal satisfaction. Thanks so much for the opportunity and please join me on this new chapter of my journey. ❤️”

I would love for you to take a look at my social media and spread the word among your friends and colleagues. Next week, I will share the significance of the logo and the thought process in creating it.

Thanks again for being a part of my journey ?
