Word of Mouth on Steroids
We all trust friends and family for recommendations when we are looking to buy a product or service for the first time. I even had a client that came to my shop and said “Roger, FIVE of my friends told me about you. Just tell me what I need.”
But what if there is no friend able to refer you to a professional? Then we visit “Google” or some review site to see what other people are saying.
Here is the point for today’s newsletter: I want to ask for your review online.
Not for your family and friends because I know you will tell them in person or via email or text about how great I am…sorry, I just got a little carried away….. but for the people you (and I) don’t know.
I could spend a lot of money chasing new clients with “junk mail” and having to pass on that cost in my services – but I know a better way is to ask you (an valued client) for a bit of your time writing about your positive experience with my products and services.
ike my friend Michelle Fontaine from FBSmarty says: “Social Media is word-of-mouth on steroids.” Nowadays almost everyone has a smart phone or tablet and is connected to the internet daily. What a better way to help your friend (me!) than telling thousands of people about my services of “dressing naked windows”?
Don’t be shy! Do like my mom does: just go on and on about my neatness, promptness, knowledge, friendly manner……and my humbleness LOL !!
