Calm before the storm
I have to be honest with you: 2019 has been a fantastic year for me … personally and professionally.
For starters, I have been to some phenomenal places including Brazil, Hawaii, Chicago, San Diego and most recently Toronto and Calgary.
On the professional side, I just closed on my largest single sale since I started my business fourteen years ago. Installation is scheduled for the end of this month. I’ve also signed on a deal with Window Fashions Vision Magazine and WFCP Fast Track Program to create and teach a series of installation classes for my industry. I am very excited about that too.
On top of all of the above, September is my birthday month and as someone that really appreciates life like I do (have I ever told you that I almost died four times? ) I make sure that I never have a “blah” birthday.
So, Ana and I went up to Canada to meet my best friend Fabiano and his wife and crash his vacation for a few days (thank brotha). We went to Niagara Falls, CN Tower and to The Distillery District in Toronto for the MOST AMAZING Margaritas on the planet. After that, we flew to Calgary and stayed in a small town called Banff …OMG, what a treat!
Now I am back, recharged and ready for our busy season. As they say, it was the Calm before the storm…And speaking of busy season, if you are planning on replacing some of your window treatments before the holidays, you better hurry up! Shades and blinds take about 4 -5 weeks to arrive and drapes and plantation shutters between 8 – 10 weeks.
